Our project entitled "Roma and non-Roma for a better future" aimed at the exchanges between 4 countries. The topic was related to the European mentality, citizenship and ideals emphasis on solidarity and respect for human dignity. The direct participants in the exchange were disadvantaged young people. Direct target group of the planned project consisted of young people from Italy, Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia aged 14 to 29 years. 9 male and 16 Female It brought together young people from different countries, who shared similarities and differences. This is very important because it gave us a chance to get out of the national circle and spread awareness in a wider way. Young Roma from Serbia had the opportunity to meet Roma and non-Roma from Europe and thus gain a true picture of what it really means to be young Roma in Europe. as an integrated part of the community, not just as a marginalized social group. Through this project we wanted to empower young Roma, make them feel part of the wider community and make them aware of democracy and the needs of democracy. Therefore, they must impose and change the general opinion about the Roma in Serbia. But during the exchange, we have emphasized not only their rights but also their duties, because in many cases they are aware of their rights, but not their own obligations or duties. Our goal in the exchange was to form these young people into individuals who consciously help each other and are aware of their human rights,to improve their tolerance, solidarity, understanding and acceptance, basic principles of democratic participation, questions and issues of social responsibility and volunteer activities. In the long run, we wanted these young people to be active participants in their country, promoting democratic and social participation on a wider scale front. Through the planned activities, we provided them with the necessary information for acquiring and obtaining competencies and knowledge. Thanks to the program - we can use multiplication of results - we can achieve the goal, namely more and more citizens will become participants in volunteer activities and campaigns that are against social problems. Among the target group, our goal is to achieve and form a kind of democratic attitude and way of looking, which will be useful to them in the later stages of their lives. Like the result of the project, a social game called "Together in better future" was created, which the participants developed and elaborated during the exchange.Strengthening discrimination, exaggerated expressions, shortcomings arising from social differences, suppression of youth activities at national and European level and migration from homeland provides the basis for the importance and necessity of the project. The planned 9-day exchange was conducted in Niška Banja / Niš / Serbia. During the exchange we emphasized the acquisition of knowledge on topics, improving language skills, building connections between participants and, of course, security measures. Except these, we wanted to provide, expand and multiply the topic for a wider audience.
