Objectives

Modern Europe needs cohesive and inclusive societies that enable citizens to play an active role in democratic life with a particular focus on intercultural understanding and a sense of belonging to the community. "Communication is the key" is a project that aims to improve competency for life in a democratic society by developing 4K skills (communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking) as a method of achieving the overall objective of the project. According to the March 2019 EUROBAROMETER, as many as 44% of young people from the European Union believe that "the protection of a democratic society and common values" should be a priority for EU activities in the future. In line with the overall objective of the project, which corresponds to the above conclusions, this project develops specific objectives such as: 1) Familiarity with the use of clear and precise communication, as well as techniques for developing communication skills in order to interpret information in high quality; 2) Identifying patterns of communication as a common construction of meaning, including verbal and non-verbal behaviour, as well as their application; 3) Familiarity with the diverse cultural patterns in Europe and finding possible solutions for intercultural communication; 4) A meta-analysis of idioms and linguistic and cultural constructs as a form of information on diversity; 5) Building a network of international contacts, informing on the possibilities of further active participation in the community and awareness of the existence of European identity; 6) Promotion of non-formal education and the Erasmus plus program. In addition to the aforementioned objectives, the project promotes intercultural dialogue, enhances the international dimension of youth activities and strengthens cooperation between Erasmus + program countries. In addition, the project supports improving the level of key competences and skills of young people, including those with disabilities.
