Objectives

The main idea of the youth exchange "I Choose to Live Healthy" was to raise awareness on the healthy lifestyle and to encourage young people to take individual responsibility for the positive changes. Through this project we wanted to achieve the following: - To enable the youth to start the discussion on the health issues which are the most common among their fellows in their communities; - To enable youth to independently develop practical tools for dealing with stress in everyday life, as well as to relieve the pressure of daily life, satisfy personal needs and create self-confidence; - To encourage the youth to develop a holistic view where the mind, body and soul are included, as well as get inspiration and practical methods that they can take with them and use both in work and private life. We also would like to achieve the stimulation of young people to get in touch with themselves, to get in touch with each other and with the nature around them and practice body and soul in endurance and motivation. The main objective of the project was: - Gathering young people from the EU and countries outside the EU, exchanging knowledge about problems regarding healthy lifestyle in their home countries and sharing ideas on how to make positive challenges in this regard; to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people by sharing good practice, practical skills and knowledge. The specific goals for the YE were: > To provide the participants with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitudes to empower young people in activities related to health issues; > To show young people that individual effort can create a positive change; > To find the ways to solve public health problems in each country by developing social initiatives and through projects at local and international level; > To raise awareness of mental health and stress, and its effect on our health; > To encourage the young people to take personal responsibility in their countries and participate in the decision-making process on health issues.
