Objectives

We wanted to present young people from five countries that people with disabilities and people with fewer opportunities have problems when faced with the challenges of a "non-disabled" world. We also wanted to prove that a person with a disability is an equal person and equal member of society who can contribute his or her best powers and enrich political, social, economic and cultural life. Nowadays, when intolerance and hate speech against various members of minorities and groups of people are growing, this topic seemed especially important to us and this was also the reason why we decided to prepare this project. The objectives of the project were: to present the problems faced by people with disabilities (in all areas of life, regardless of age group); general presentation of disability; presentation of the situation of persons with disabilities in the project partner countries; promoting tolerance, acceptance of difference and diversity; reducing fear of otherness; presentation and viewing of good architectural practices for people with disabilities in the home space, exchange of views with project partner countries; strengthening values among young people; promoting non-formal learning, critical thinking and improving the lifelong learning competences of young people, especially young people with fewer opportunities; raising awareness of young people about various Erasmus + projects, encouraging young people to further education, active citizenship, participation in other projects.
