Objectives

The regional youth center creates and develops long-term cooperation with cities and organizations, creates space for networking activities in the region. It tries to connect the activities of the local government and its support, young people, primary and secondary schools and the non-profit sector. At the same time, it tries to establish cooperation with companies operating in the vicinity and organizations that cover or associate them, such as the Slovak Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Young Entrepreneurs, and others. We have enough experience with networking activities in our environment, but as for other activities and development, it always depends on our initiative. The partner organization Cov'Altas - Associação Cultural e Ambiental also has a similar situation and covers many organizations. At the same time, we also invited the Fagudis organization to cooperate, which works closely with both main partners and develops partnerships and cooperation in its territory. The goal of the project was to be inspired by partners in their way of working, and to develop cooperation with their territory and their partners in the region. The aim of the project is to improve the situation and stabilize the work with youth in cities and regions, that is why it is important and the whole project is built on this basis. The process of implementing newly acquired knowledge into practice is the most essential part of the project. Therefore, the facilitators are also coordinators in both organizations and can create support activities to support the transfer even after the project newly acquired knowledge of the participants into practice in the environment where they operate. We met with our partners at an international training, where we exchanged information about how we cooperate and what type of activities and goals we have set. Many of them are very similar, but we have a very different way of working. This is what inspired us to want to create a space to enrich each other and inspire improvement. We are an inspiration for them precisely in cooperation with local governments and the development of conceptual materials in the field of youth work development and their approval in our conditions. On the other hand, cooperation between organizations within our sector is not naturally anchored in Slovakia. We miss that a lot. In Portugal, these partners have established cooperation and system as they work very well.
