We wanted to carry out this training course since when we have started to analyse the needs of our organisations among members and youth workers involved it was the lack of knowledge and new activities on the topic of media literacy for young people. As stated in the project description we wanted to address the real issue of a general confusion and entropy among the society and especially now among young people on the assimilation of information in our society. Due to the arrival of all the new media, such as social media, blogs and many others it totally changed the world of information exchanging also the roles of users and providers from the “traditional media”. Nowadays, the high number of information have offered the space to disinformation, and phenomenon as fake news, post truth, trolls brought to the bigger phenomenon of entropy among young people who due to the fact they were born already in a digital society they have difficulties to identify a proper way to understand when they are getting high quality information and how they need to use the digital platforms in a fair way. This phenomenon created a general crisis and facilitates the raising of Euroskepticism, xenophobia and other negative values caused by fake news and bad usage of media. Moreover, when we created this project we noticed the need to address these problems and to create innovative tools and raise competences of other youth workers on that topic to transfer knowledge as multipliers to young people, other youth workers and bring innovation in their communities decreasing this sense of entropy and confusion. So, we believe that through this training course all the youth workers involved had the opportunity to grow up not only themselves professionally but also to act as ambassadors of fair management of news and educators of young generations for digital tools. Nevertheless, this training course bridged also the need of the youth workers involved to get closer to young people feelings, trends concerning technology and digital tools.
