Objectives

As Gemlik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School located in Gemlik, we aim to prepare a Youth Exchange project titled "Youthart" within the scope of Erasmus + program to prepare youth for future by gaining the most efficient practices and international experience. In general terms, our school is an educational institution that educates qualified personnel for the factories and has a high demand. The conference and meeting halls in our institution host many sectoral studies in the region. Our students participate in seminars and conferences held at our school and increase their social sensitivity thresholds every year. As Gemlik Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, we participate in many local and national artistic activities and our talented young people are supported by our school administration and teachers. As a result, many artistic activities are awarded with degrees and awards. Our craftsmen are not lagging behind in terms of art. Young people who produce, develop and pursue new demantations in any kind of art are provided with all kinds of support and motivation for the sake of their personality development. Considering the fact what our previous Youth Exchange contributed to our students, we decided to do such a study. We aimed on selecting partners from local and abroad institutions who run activities in the field of painting to ensure that our young people do not fall back on their peers in Europe. A mixed design of each country's cultural and artistic characteristics will be preapered and reflected on the corridor walls of our school, we plan to carry the education to the corridors by drawing these designs. The idea of participants painting our walls and interacting with our students increased our motivation. Students who do not participate in the project will communicate with our foreign participants and will be motivated to develope their language skills. Together with our local partner Gemlik Sosyal Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği, we started to search for institutions and organizations working on painting in Europe. We have received opinions about this subject from the organizations we contacted. They conveyed us that they would be happy to take part in a study to be done in our country. We thought that we could benefit from the Erasmus + program. Our activities for our project will start on 07.10.2020 and end on 16.10.2020 and are planned for 10 days. 1 local partner and 3 different countries have been chosen to work in the field of painting or the institutions that would like to be involved in this study. At the stage of selection, countries with rich painting culture were tried to be selected. In line with these criteria, Gemlik Sosyal Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği, as our local partner, Mer Meraki from Croatia, Sdruzheniee Walktogether from Bulgaria and Liceul Tehnologic Aurel Vlaicu Lugoj from Romania were defined as abroad partners. 6 young people and 1 group leader from each of these countries will be included in the activities. In our study group with a total of 30 young and 5 group leaders, our partners were asked to include half of the participants from disadvantaged individuals of different characteristics (economic, social, psychological migrants / refugees, etc.). In the selection of young people, partners will be asked to make a selection in such a way that they have social sensitivity, willingness, relevant studies and balance of girls and boys. In our activities that will last for 10 days, non-formal education methods will be applied. Our activities will focus on the artistic sensitivity of European societies on art and artist. At the same time, they will transform the situations that young people see as social problems into painting. The activities will include entertaining activities such as excursions, exhibitions and cultural nights. In the activities, learning methods such as discussion, brainstorming, presentation, demonstration, trip observation will be used. During the activities, our young people will have the opportunity to develop themselves by actively communicating with our partners from Europe. Such studies will be considered as a resume that will be used by those who will start working. All young people participating in the activities will put an effort to disseminate the knowledge, skills and experiences they will gain from the activities. Our participant group will have a multiplier effect on dissemination activities and will spread it to a large area.
