Objectives

Projects and activities are needed to bring awareness of local people, especially young people, about asylum-seekers, to improve the sense of empathy, to integrate and cultivate common values and common culture by bringing together both socio-cultural activities. The aims of our project; o Ensuring that young people from partner countries get to know the asylum-seekers more closely through various observation, investigation, research, chatting, discussion and workshop activities by taking the common culture and values as a foreground with the action of CULTURAL HERITAGE, o Improving their intercultural communication, cooperation and sharing skills, developing their empathy skills and passing their prejudices against different cultures, by bringing participants together with asylum seekers in social and cultural activities that were shaped on the basis of cultural heritage, o To develop the understanding of cultural heritage, universal values and common culture, o To improve the social, cultural and linguistic development of the participants. At the end of the project, participants from different cultures, traditions and past got to know each other, bond, adapt to different conditions and avoid inter-cultural prejudices. Their knowledge and awareness increased about Erasmus+ Youth programs and Youthpass. At the end of these activities, the participants recognized the life of immigrants and asylum-seekers, understand their problems, needs and expectations, empathize, take initiative and solve the problems and thereby will reach the mental maturity to show volunteerism. On the other hand, they raised their intercultural integration to an awareness level by comprehending the unifying aspect of cultural heritage and values, the similarities in the past lifestyles of societies, and the understanding of the common past, and the common denominators of differences.
