Business opportunities are undergoing a significant change today. Permanent contract work is gradually diminishing and mostly concentrated in public employment and large companies. However, in the Mediterranean countries, most companies are SMEs. One way to combat unemployment, especially among young people, is to think of entrepreneurs and start their own business; but almost no school prepares them for it. Many rural communities are marginalized socially and politically, and in many areas the population is aging strongly and impoverished by migration. The EU Council Report of 18/12/2018 states that socioeconomic exclusion and democratic exclusion work hand in hand and that young people struggling with disadvantages are often less active citizens. Socioeconomic indicators indicate that rural people have an average income of 40% lower than the income of those living in the city, benefiting from low services and basic infrastructures; they have limited professional and cultural opportunities and live in older communities. These factors make European campaigns less attractive to young people with labor shortages. According to Eurostat 2018 (https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/databrowser/view/tepsr_wc170/default/table?lang=en) data; AB28 is 15.2% to 15 - 24 years unemployment level, Turkey 20.2%, Spain 34.3%, Greece 39.9%, Italy 32.2%, Romania 16.2%, France 20.8%, and Portugal 20.3% respectively. Therefore, we want to involve young people from these countries in the project. “Only 6.5% of young Europeans are self-employed”. When young people tend to entrepreneurship, most of those who want to start a new business decide to wear it to other countries like the USA. Because they believe there are too many obstacles in Europe as reported in the report Gençlik Youth Entrepreneurship in Europe: Values, attitudes, policies sun presented in Brussels. The aim of the "Young SME" project is to develop entrepreneurial skills to prevent marginalization of rural youth. Our objectives during the project: 42 young participants from 15 to 24 years (except 7 Youth leaders); - To strengthen active citizenship by developing entrepreneurship skills - provide better opportunities for access to employment; reduce the effects of social exclusion - To understand the risks, challenges, potentials and effects of their ideas on rural society - Encouraging young people to see entrepreneurship as one of the working options - Create 7 sustainable business ideas - provide a space for intercultural integration; to promote a culture of dialogue, tolerance and better understanding - Providing the opportunity to communicate with English in a foreign language - To promote youth mobility at European level - Develop long-term synergy between partners. These objectives are in line with the objectives of the Erasmus + program. * The objectives of the European 2020 Strategy are "75% of people aged 20 to 64 at work" and "At least 20 million fewer people in poverty / social exclusion" * ET2020 strategic framework objectives "Entrepreneurship, social cohesion and active citizenship to promote" * The renewed framework for European cooperation in the field of youth (European Youth Goals 2019-2027) serves the general purpose of "encouraging the participation of young people in democratic life, supporting social and community participation and ensuring that all young people have the necessary resources to participate in society". The project's specific area of action coincides with the following sub-objectives of the European Youth Goals 2019-2027 strategy on youth: "* To ensure that young people become architects of their own lives, support their personal development and growth for autonomy, build their flexibility and equip them with life skills to cope with a changing world * To contribute to the eradication and elimination of all forms of discrimination and to promote the social inclusion of youth * Equal opportunity for all young people to develop the necessary skills and gain practical experience to facilitate the transition from education to the labor market * Ensure that sustainable, quality jobs for young people are created in rural areas * To encourage non-formal learning, especially among young people, to reduce unemployment and to introduce new skills and skills required by the labor market. " The needs of the youth addressed in the project: - They need a job that gives them a good standard of living. - They want to improve their basic skills and improve their low quality of life to enter the labor market.
