What did we aim to achieve with this project? It took quite a long time for women to take part in politics, to gain this right or to be given this right. Because of the duties assigned to women, it was not seen acceptable for women to take part in politics and politics was seen as a man's job. Regarding women in politics, the answers to questions such as “Should women be involved in politics?” and “Can women contribute to the political arena?” are still discussed today. Women disproportionately take part in politics and especially in political decision-making mechanisms. This situation sometimes stems from personal preferences of women but mostly from social and cultural structures. Considering that women's inadequate participation in the political arena is a problem, what needs to be done to solve this problem should come to the fore by creating awareness in the society. With our project, global contributions were made in 2 important subjects within the scope of Erasmus Plus. The first is to enable women to participate more in politics, and the second is to support the social adaptation of European youth. We have general and specific objectives in our project, which we set out with for these purposes and we believe we have achieved these goals to a great extent. The special goals we wanted to achieve by implementing this project were to make more people know about women’s journey to the management and politics, to raise awareness on this issue and on the social benefits it provides, to contribute to the acknowledgement of women in Turkish political life, make people realize that Turkish women were given this right before the women of any other European country, to examine why the participation of women in Turkish politics is low despite the importance given to this issue, to find solutions to increase their participation rate, to draw attention to the fact that many women successfully manage and maintain a family and therefore are highly capable of running a country, to recognize local government structures and to encourage the participation of women in these structures, to acknowledge the importance of giving opportunities to women in administration for the democracy. While preparing our project, our general objectives were; to bring young people together with this kind of program in order them to improve their cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills, to facilitate their adaptation to society, to enable them to take active part in the decision taking mechanisms, to increase their sensitivity and awareness to global problems, to encourage young people to claim their own cultural values and their homeland and develop these, to lead NGOs to create opportunities for young people's cultural cohesion and personal development, increasing intercultural exchange, to disseminate our project and Erasmus projects. With the activities we carried out, we reached our project objectives to a great extent.
