Objectives

Entrepreneurs have made significant impacts throughout history and today more of us are becoming, or thinking of becoming, entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is a driving force for job creation and economic growth, and never before has been more sought after by youth who wish to create their own jobs and futures. By implementing this project we aimed develop our own fundamental skills on this challenging job market and to provide other young people with the essential knowledge – we wanted to empower them and guide them on how to become an entrepreneur in the current socio-economic realm. This was accomplished in two stages: 1) Providing entrepreneurial education in non-formal way to youth participating in the exchange; 2) Sharing the knowledge gained during the exchange with other young people: their peers and general public at local, national and European level. Equipping youth (both the ones participating in the projects and the dissemination target group) with this specific knowledge (like marketing, developing a business idea, writing a business plan, creating SMART goals etc.) and shaping the skills that are necessary on the labour market (like team communication or digital competences) energized entrepreneurship and self-employability. This contributed to achieving objectives of this key action by improving career prospects of young people, as well as increasing their sense of initiative and entrepreneurship, which is already noticeable in our evaluation. The goal of this project was in line with EU's strategy to combat the high level of unemployment among young people. Through the project, we faced the challenges that are a common struggle in many European countries: the youth unemployment and underemployment, that many young people encounter after finishing their education. We contributed to solving this problem by encouraging youth to create their own jobs - and several participants already started working on their business after returning homes.
