This project will be the focal point for increasing European youth's involvement in local, regional, national and international communities through volunteering and peer-to-peer approach. The young people will share examples of good practice, experiences, use peer-to-peer youth work and non-formal education approach, coordinate efforts with local NGOs and business communities, implement volunteer initiatives, practice direct community involvement, acquire and apply a set of skills required to reach the final goals set for this project – increasing social inclusion and employment opportunities for young people residing in deprived urban areas. Our particular objectives for this project: - To exchange principles and possible ways of youth participation and empowerment in a non-formal way to support volunteering among young people coming from deprived urban areas and having economic and employment problems; - To facilitate the inter-sectorial (NGOs, private businesses) networking process among participants and partner organisations; - To promote a wider understanding of the social inclusion and how to engage motivated young people as active citizens and volunteers; - To present profiles and experience of participating organisations and create an atmosphere of common understanding between people representing different cultures, social positions, etc.; - To be introduced to the reality of each other on a personal, professional, and cultural level; - To empower participants with the skills to share their knowledge and competences with their peers; - To create space for exchanging local project experiences and to explore the skills and competences gained during the realisation of the projects; - To get in direct touch with the external environment, with organisations and bodies that have strong relevance and influence for the youth employability topic; - To introduce to the participants an array of new methods to create replicable presentations that will promote the values and concept of community volunteering as an alternative to unemployment and social exclusion; - To provide knowledge about possibilities of cooperation within the various aspects of the Erasmus+ programme by presenting examples of efficient and successful cooperation and to motivate young activists to become project multipliers. This project reflects the main aim of Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth – providing quality education and training for young people to insure their successful labour market integration and mobility. We will also promote the Erasmus+ programme and opportunities that address youth employment, entrepreneurship and inclusion and give our participants a comprehensive understanding of what they can achieve through it.
