Objectives

Erasmus+ aims to promote lifelong learning, enable sustainable growth, strengthen social cohesion and European identity, and drive innovation. Based on this guiding principle, learning mobilities are designed to promote personal and professional learning in order to embed pedagogical professionalism in a European framework. Erasmus+ mobilities provide opportunities for collaboration, creativity and innovation, as well as learning from other organisations. The improvement of language skills, the development of new didactic teaching methods and the experience of Erasmus+ offer teachers a fundamental improvement in their professional development and thus access to new projects in their own teaching.

Background

Europe and Erasmus+ contribute significantly to the school's mission. In order to transfer this idea to the students, we focused on developing European awareness in the teachers through this project by allowing them to participate in different mobilities. Based on the fact that Bernoulli-Gymnasium wants to introduce a European Year in the Upper School with the school year 2022/23, where mobilities for students are a central feature to the teaching, the background of this project is a personal experience by improving foreign language skills and experiencing new school systems in different European countries.
