A professionalization of all participants' teaching development should be achieved. Best practice examples, insights into other school systems and exchanges with colleagues from other countries should also give impetus for school development at our location. The main goal of the job shadowing in Estonia was to observe the schools' level of digitization and the use of digital devices and software in the classroom. This helped to implement and improve the digital basic education at our school. As a bilingual school, we require language teachers to have a high level of language proficiency - perfecting and professionalizing their language skills as part of further training courses in English-speaking countries is therefore an integral part of responsible further training. During the internship in France, not only language skills could be trained, but also own teaching methods were applied in local schools.
The aim of the project and all labour mobilities carried out was to professionalize the participating teachers. With job shadowing, placements and further training we focused on gaining an insight into other school systems and other forms of teaching, as well as networking and exchanging ideas with teachers from other European countries. In addition, our long-established partner school network was strengthened. This helps with organising future mobilities more easily. Shortly after the project had started, the Covid pandemic began. With that the focus shifted primarily to topics such as digitization, communication technologies, the mental health of students and teachers, and the effects of the pandemic (homeschooling , isolation, school closures). The ongoing exchange with colleagues across borders was very enriching, as very different approaches could be observed and solution models discussed. The planned and achieved goal of the teacher training was networking, but above all the training of language skills at an advanced level.
