In our school there is a need to improve the reputation and influence of the school. Many students leave school after four years to go to a vocational high school. Participation in international activities certainly sends a signal to the outside world. The school signals a high level of commitment by sending employees and teachers abroad. The motivation that arises for teachers from a stay abroad also contributes to a positive school climate and thus increases the quality of the school as an attractive place to learn and work.By increasing the level of teaching of foreign languages, students perceive learning foreign languages as a school as a crucial and practice-oriented process. In order to increase quality and improve the school climate, it is necessary to be able to react quickly and adequately even in crisis situations. In particular, cases of bullying represent a major challenge for teachers. For this, teachers need suitable methods for conflict resolution and for possible preventive measures. This is to be achieved by participating in courses that train methods for non-violent communication. Well-trained teachers who incorporate modern pedagogical approaches to imparting linguistic, cultural and personal competence into the lessons represent an enrichment of the competences offered at a school location, since they integrate the aspect of internationality in education at Austrian schools. International cooperation and a cultural exchange of experiences and new learning and teaching techniques represent an ideal opportunity from which our school canparticularly benefit in the long term.
