Objectives

Innovative input from the fields of mental training, life kinetics, psychological support, nutritional education and performance diagnostics should increase the quality of the pre-scientific thesis in sports and event management. Through new impulses in the areas of sports psychology, the learners should be better prepared for the increased psychological demands in the professional world. Learners should perceive the learning of a foreign language as a crucial and practice-oriented process. High-quality language training should increase the competitiveness of graduates on the labour market. Especially French as a second living foreign language should become more attractive through innovative teaching methods and international contacts. Other objectives: further insights into school education in Europe, improving practical teaching, coaching, advisory and management skills, establishing new contacts for the development of an international network and acquiring new knowledge on the use of digital technologies in teaching. These skills can help in the future strategy development of the school.

Background

The aim of the project was to strengthen the international orientation of the school by extending existing contacts with practice enterprises (virtual business) across Europe to the field of sport. New teaching impulses in physical education were to increase the learners' awareness of the importance of physical activity for health and performance. A second priority was the promotion of the first and second living foreign languages, especially in view of the increasing demands of the economy and the world of work. The quality of foreign language teaching was to be continuously improved in order to contribute to the attractiveness of both the location and the language learning itself. In line with the requirements of vocational schools in Upper Austria, digitalisation and the promotion of entrepreneurship formed a third focus. Digital education and the use of new media are among the basic skills for successful entrepreneurship.
