The aim of this project was to support foreign language teachers in developing new teaching methods and linguistic knowledge for foreign language teaching in general and for teaching the new subjects (Business Behaviour in all foreign languages offered at the school). For this purpose, the vocational language skills should be updated and trained. Subsequently, this should improve the qualitative teaching of current key competences in the area of business behaviour in the classroom. The teaching and learning of foreign languages should be reviewed within the cooperation of international teachers from different cultural and social perspectives. It was aimed at developing relationships for future international cooperation. On the one hand, the training served as staff motivation. On the other hand, it was part of a marketing strategy of our school to guarantee contemporary teaching by professionally trained, and up-to-date teachers.
Subjects newly included in the HAK - (Commercial College Hallein) like Business Behaviour (in Italian, French, Spanish and English) and their curricula were to be implemented by using innovative ways of promoting their contents with new educational methods. For this purpose, it was necessary to develop new teaching and training sequences that correspond to the currently required knowledge of 21st Century Skills. On the one hand, the implementation of this staff mobility was to serve professional, linguistic and cultural training. On the other hand, current developments in business language and key competences should be integrated into teaching with the help of new teaching methods. Furthermore, teachers should be supported in educating students to become independent European citizens. Their personal experience of education within a European context should enable them to pass on the European citizenship authentically.
