Objectives

1.We wanted to reach identification with the common idea of Europe in many colleagues and, moreover, the willingness of teachers and students to internationalization. 2.Active involvement in the Austrian as well as in different school systems which can contribute to further development of our system (independent learning in Sweden or digitisation level and bilingual education in Finland) played a central role in our project. 3.It seemed to be important to reach more readiness to integrate foreign students. 4.Teachers should show more openness to bilingual education as well as to the use of digital tools. 5.The support of our exchange students should be improved. 6.We tried to give new impulses to further development of our intern school safety programme and exchanged ideas of quality standards in the area of ‘International Safe School’. 7.Development impulses in psychosocial health and organisation were given to our school doctors. 8.We promoted long terms in French speaking regions and supported readiness in French teachers to offer long term stays to their students in France. Moreover, this is meant to be seen as strengthening French education at our school. 9.Teaching assignments in Taormina as well as in Naples were seen as an impulse to colleagues.

Background

We carried out the project to: 1. Drive internationalization of our school forward. 2. Improve the teachers’ competence of language. 3. Make progress in ‘bilingual teaching’ and to work out a concept for the introduction of bilingual teaching at BG Rein. 4. Get in contact with new digital tools in the area of administration/teaching and to see how they work. 5. Better support long term stays of our students, which have been established for years, by means of new forms and helpful tools! Work out a viable concept for the cooperation of all long stay partners (colleagues, students, parents at our school as well as colleagues at partner schools). Moreover, the integrative concept at long stays (La Reunion) was important for us. 6. Find new aspects in the area of psychosocial health and safety in school and at social media. Expand commitment to safety in the school area within students as well as colleagues and school staff. 7. Widen the personal style of teaching by long term tuition stays of two colleagues at partner schools. 8. Increase the variety of methods of teachers.
