The project "Training of Czech language skills for musical exchange school-projects in boarder areas between the Czech Republic and Austria" led to the improvement of employee skills, especially the development of Czech foreign language skills in view of their application in musical school projects between the Czech Republic and Austria. Since the participating teacher at the school is a dedicated teacher, it can be assumed that the skills gained will be used primarily in the context of the school's musical activities. In addition, increased motivation for international activities of the Erasmus+ program is expected not only within the teaching staff, but through the educational institution. The project contributed to the perception of education as an inseparable part of the European society of values and stimulated interest in the cultural heritage of EU countries.
The submitted project contributed to the development of Czech foreign language skills in view of their use for musical school projects at the Adalbert Stifter Gymnasium. Since 2013, the Adalbert Stifter Gymnasium has maintained an intensive partnership with the Prague school Gymnázium a Hudební škola hl. m. Prahy, which has been carried out as part of the Erasmus+ program since 2016. This intensifies the connection to the neighboring country not only culturally, but also interpersonally and linguistically. Regular exchange projects and school visits are already part of everyday school life at our educational institution. With a qualified teaching staff with knowledge of Czech, we not only achieve simpler project processing (in the target country), but we also increase the cohesion of the project team. Mag. Karl Trenda is a long-time teacher of the arts classes with an interest in Czech and music and is very popular with the students. In the project, a seven-day structured training course (7 - 13 August 2022) in Czech was attended in Telč. The requested two travel days were not needed given the short distance.
