Openness to other countries and institutions. Perceiving the topic from other perspectives. Gain new ideas and experience so that we can benefit from them at our school in the future. Our participants graduate this school year and are then released into the world of work and study. The topic of sustainability will accompany them in all areas of their lives and in their future. With the project, we wanted to ensure that they are fit for everything that still awaits them with regard to this topic. Our participating interns should not be afraid of an uncertain future, but should have the courage to stimulate change themselves. We hope to come up with new innovative ideas from which we can all benefit at various levels. It was also important to us that all institutions deal with the topic of sustainability and that everyone becomes clear for themselves which points of view they want to represent and support. It was also important for us to convey to pupils that in the future they will have it in their own hands in which direction they are going with the topic.
Sustainability is a current and very present topic. In order to be able to show students the topicality and range of their possibilities, it was important to us to set a focus in this area so that we can also prepare them well for the future in their training as elementary educators. Gaining insights into other institutions and observing, witnessing and actively shaping the work in other countries is always very important to us and we try to give our students openness in all areas. Especially in times of the pandemic, it was a great wish of the participants and organizers and the school to finally be able to look outwards again and to look courageously into the future. Both our topic and the step out into the world was extremely important in order to get a little more security in dealing with other countries.
