Objectives

This project pursued four main goals. First of all, "le chéile" was the start of KA1 projects at the BHAK/BHAS Gänserndorf and enabled a number of students to complete internships an English-speaking country. This type of project did not exist at the school before the start of "le chéile". In addition, the project aimed to support the students in several areas of development and personal growth, more specifically, in their English language skills, soft skills and business-related skills. Furthermore, internationally recognised formats such as the Europass CV and the Europass Mobility Pass were established at the school. Finally, establishing Erasmus+ internships at the BHAK/BHAS Gänserndorf is a vital factor in school marketing, as BHAK/BHAS Gänserndorf is currently the only school in the district to offer such a programme.

Background

The project was carried out with the background of supporting the development of the BHAK/BHAS Gänserndorf into a European and international school. On the one hand, the implementation of internships abroad should support the participating students in their development, on the other hand, a new type of Erasmus+ programme should be established at the school. Until the start of this project, the BHAK/BHAS Gänserndorf mainly participated in KA2 projects, so-called school partnerships. This project was to be the start for the implementation of KA1 projects. The great success of this project is shown by the approval of a follow-up project to "le chéile", which will enable students to continue to complete internships in Ireland from the school year 2022/23 onwards.
