Objectives

We wanted to clarify to what extent Cité des Métiers could be a model for AK and BFI Salzburg for the organisation of educational guidance and cooperation with our regional partners. Specifically: - How does CdM organise the reception and counselling of guidance seekers? - How does CdM organise case management for individual guidance seekers to ensure that they really get what they need from all the guidance practitioners of the different partners within CdM? - How are these processes organised in smaller CdMs outside Paris that are comparable to the situation in Salzburg? - How is the design of the guidance process expressed in the oganisational and architectural design of a CdM? - What role do events play within CdM and within the counselling approach? What do these events look like in the example of new digital professions? - What is the added value for the guidance seekers and the guidance practitioners through the cooperation in the CdM? - What is the mutual benefit for the partners of CdM within the national and international network? - How does the CdM concept help to gain access to regional, national and European funding?

Background

In the course of the strategy processes at AK Salzburg and BFI Salzburg, the question arose as to how we can further expand, finance and coordinate our educational and career guidance services within AK and in cooperation with BFI, and how we can make them even more visible externally and internally. The BFI Salzburg and, within the AK Salzburg, the Department of Education, Youth and Culture are most directly affected by this issue. Of direct interest to us is the further development of our own offer. In perspective, the model of the Cité des Métiers can also serve to intensify cooperation in the network of educational guidance in Salzburg. Ultimately, the intensive examination of the model could also lead to an associate or possibly even a full membership in the international network of Cités des Métiers.
