A total of 29 students from three different branches of diploma training in social care and 5 teachers were to take part in this project: support for the disabled/family work/work with the elderly. Objective: According to the curriculum, all our students have to do internships, which is also possible abroad. All internships must be completed in the areas of - children and young people - people with disabilities - families and family-like forms - old people. With this project, students should have the opportunity to complete their internships in a European country in order to use the resources and knowledge in a network. Work with the disabled, work with children and young people, with families, but also the care of old people is on the rise in many European countries. There is a need to know about the developments in other countries and to make them usable for Austria. Of particular interest are the topics of "protection for children and young people", new forms of support for families, but also the topics of old age and dementia (also in connection with disabilities) are of great importance for the development of these professions. We are challenged to think about the well-being of children and young people, about new forms of living in old age, about normalization in the area of people with disabilities. Our students were very interested in seeing what is happening in other countries, what ideas and innovations there are, how they are implemented; they wanted to take it with them and spread it further in their future professional fields. The institutions in which our students will work in the future should benefit from the experiences and networks that will be expanded to the European level through the present project.
