Objectives

We wanted to foster cultural curiosity and open-mindedness in each student volunteer. We wanted to give them the desire to surpass themselves by putting their learning into practice while developing their language skills. By making them discover and work in another European country, it allowed them to become responsible and respectful citizens. The adult education project offered two of our teachers the opportunity to discover the In Cibum training center with top of the line equipment. Attending and participating in cooking and pastry classes for professionals allowed them to exchange on cooking techniques, but also to exchange with the chefs who gave the training. It was both a professional and human exchange.

Background

We chose to invest in this project in order to bring an added value to the training of our students. We wanted to offer them the choice of living an extraordinary professional and cultural experience that would allow each of our students, regardless of their socio-economic level, to put their learning into practice, but above all to learn techniques and customs specific to the host country. This cultural and qualifying exchange project also allowed our teachers to meet professionals from the host country and to exchange with them on their professional practices and their gastronomic knowledge.
