By implementing this project, we wanted to stimulate change, revive and revitalize interest in studies and practical training in particular. We put the student at the center of our reflection to make choices that would restore meaning, to fight against school dropout and to combat school failure. These choices were: • Diversify learning • Enrich personal growth • Enrich didactic tools • Expand knowledge of the world of early childhood • Further develop the ability to adapt to changes in the profession • Make young people aware of the support and opportunities offered by Europe in their vocational training At the level of the participating organizations, we wanted to: • The creation of bridges between the different options of our school establishment • Building bridges between countries • Sharing experiences • Develop work techniques • Enrich knowledge of the world of early childhood In terms of the target audience, we wanted to: • Develop the capacity for personal and professional questioning • Promote personal growth • Enrich knowledge of the world of early childhood • Provide the opportunity for greater mobility, not just national • Stimulate promising situations to promote the acquisition of greater maturity • Make you want to renew the experience • Change the perception of the country, any stereotypes present before departure • Develop the content of internship reports • Develop the professional evaluation grids • Develop interdisciplinary work • Diversify learning • Share didactic and methodological tools • The creation of support tools for the school project for the awakening to responsible citizenship: "Develop the spirit of collaboration between students by promoting all forms of activities that contribute to it (group work, collective projects ,…) encourage an open-mindedness on social, economic, political, cultural, sporting and artistic realities which allow pupils to be in direct contact with the outside world. » • Develop appropriate communication channels internally and externally, in particular with the mastery and active use of European tools (eTwinning)
We wanted to submit our application in order to best meet the needs of learners and teaching staff. The objective was, above all, to make a choice that would allow them to live new professional and human experiences. At the learner level, the main objectives were: • Develop and acquire professional skills and open up to other practices. • Live a significant life experience to gain in maturity and autonomy. For a large part of our students, mobility was the opportunity to make a first trip. Most of the young people who participated are young people with less socio-economic facilities. • Create links between childcare training and society in perpetual evolution. • Putting the study program into practice: role of the childcare worker in Belgium and profile of this role abroad. • Promote the scope of the diploma beyond borders. • Enable young people to open up to the world, to learn to be mobile For the supervising staff, the project had the following objectives: • Experiencing mobility to better support learners. To better be able to remove the brakes and fears of young people in the face of the unknown. • Diversify learning. • Diversify and share didactic and methodological tools with the various stakeholders. • Bringing to life the school's educational project which aims to: "Help the young person to become a fulfilled adult, capable of assuming his responsibilities on the economic, social, emotional, relational, spiritual level and as a responsible citizen". For the supervising staff in the supervision of the internships (internship supervisors in Belgium) the project had the following objectives: • Confront and share European experience as well as new skills/know-how, acquired while on the move. • Helping to change the perspective of internship supervisors on mobility. Break down the brakes, the negative representations. • Strengthen European mobility by considering that our Belgian structures (nurseries, schools, etc.) in turn welcome young Europeans in training. To conclude, we were convinced that an international experience could only be beneficial for the future of our students. Indeed, all the skills they were going to have to mobilize would be so many keys to their future; keys to help them find their place in a European and democratic citizenship.
