Objectives

The aim of this project is above all to increase the level of skills of young people by supporting them in the acquisition of skills (knowledge, skills and attitudes) with a view to their personal development and their employability on the Belgian and European labor market. . The project aims to increase their self-esteem (often defective among young people in qualifying education), their sense of initiative and their autonomy, as well as their adaptability to new situations. Mobility abroad is an extraordinary lever to achieve these objectives. In relation to their citizenship training (one of the essential missions of compulsory education), young people will also be made aware of intercultural encounters, of a better knowledge of European projects and European values. Through their mobility, young people will also be able to participate actively in society and develop a European identity and citizenship, based primarily on better self-esteem. Finally, on return, the project aims to increase their motivation to take part in future training (formal/non-formal) after the mobility period.

Background

Maintain the notoriety of the Institute by offering students from the different sections internship and apprenticeship experiences that will differentiate them in the professional environment and therefore increase their employability both at national and European level. Due to the specificity of the techniques to be taught, it is difficult for a school like ours to equip itself adequately and to multiply the learning situations. Increasing students' skills through experiences in the professional world. Thus, students have the opportunity to train the skills expected by the SIPS elsewhere and in particular those that they will not be able to exercise within the school. Instill in young people a sense of flexibility and the importance of mobility to increase the levels of professional skills expected and keep professional training up to date. Make it clear that the chances of getting a qualified job increase for people who take part in these European exchanges. To be able to compare our course programs with those of another similar organization and exchange our training experiences in our areas of expertise.
