The objectives we wanted to achieve during the implementation of the project are : 1. To get inspired about the innovative audiovisual good practices created for deaf persons in the organisations in France and Spain (Fundacion CNSE, Langue Turquoise and Vice & Versa) and to exchange with those organisations during their mobility. 2. To be trained to new technologies in the audiovisual field and to new pedagogical developments aiming at promoting alphabetization and interest in reading as well as in the learning of sign language, the accessibility of information and the transmission of deaf-related knowledge. 3. To innovate in the development and management of new projects and to professionalize the services and actions of our organisation. 4. To develop sustainable partnerships with the host organisations but also with other organisations that are part of their network in other European countries.
Since we are an organisation active in the promotion, sign language training and development of pedagogical tools in sign language (via our department PERLE), in the promotion of sign language and literacy to deaf children and youngsters (via our department SIGRA), in the field of audiovisual media in sign language (via our department Flash5) and in the field of sign language translations (via our new department Translations), we wanted to improve our services and adapt it better to the needs of our target group composed of deaf people. Our target group is homogeneous and several deaf persons, younger and older, are lacking access to information in sign language. We wanted to undertake this project to train and inspire our team members, mostly volunteers, with the aim of professionalizing our informative videos and pedagogical resources, of extending our knowledge and at the same time the content of our activities and productions as well as of innovating in the new audiovisual technologies and pedagogical methods.
