Society is evolving at lightning speed. So it makes sense that education is also constantly evolving. That is why it is important that teachers are flexible and constantly try out new things. Not innovating for the sake of innovating, but innovating to improve the quality of education, and in doing so, to adjust it even better to the 21st-century pupil. That was our first objective. Our second objective is perfectly in line with this. Innovation must also be managed and facilitated, both at school level and at teacher or subject group level. We wanted to learn about useful and effective tools for innovation management. Finally, there is our third and most important objective. Evaluation and reporting are often associated with judging and do not always feel comfortable. We wanted to break this by learning about tools and methods that make evaluation and reporting growth-oriented and motivating.
KSOM Campus Rozenberg, a consortium formed by KSOM1, KSOM2 and KSOM3 aims to provide quality education. To achieve this, the quality assurance working group undertakes all kinds of actions in a systematic and structured manner. Among other things, we have worked out a 7-year cycle, in which each year we thoroughly examine a quality aspect from the Reference Framework for Educational Quality and adjust it if necessary. Explicit objectives and evaluation criteria for pupils have already been addressed. We have also already worked on giving feedback. With this project, we want to move up a level and examine the following aspects of our 7-year cycle. We want to gain knowledge about motivating, growth-oriented evaluation and reporting. We focus on four sub-aspects: substantiated and broad evaluation, substantiated reporting, innovation/change management and the teacher as researcher. Moreover, we want to use ICT to achieve these goals. Both by disseminating our digital expertise and by implementing new ideas from abroad, we try to evolve into a modern school of the 21st century, in which the pupil is central and has every opportunity for growth.
