Objectives

Generally, we aimed to: -Develop an understanding of the relevance of critical thinking at a personal level and share ideas and experiences of critical thinking methodologies in the classroom. -Work with values to prepare students for life and work in an interdependent global society. -Introduce considerations about the process of self-awareness and personal development that is part of moving from a ‘local’ to a ‘global’ citizen, through development of knowledge, skills, and values. Specifically, we aimed to: -Gain insights into globalization and gain inspiration for working on our core values (mainly ‘respect’ and ‘responsibility’). -Deal with greater diversity among our students. -Feed ourselves as facilitators of various projects and activities at school with insights from outside, also internationally, and then translate them to our colleagues. -Stimulate critical thinking as a professional ‘self-reflection’ attitude for the teacher. -Develop methods to stimulate ‘critical thinking’ in the classroom
