Objectives for the students: Education tailored to the individual student where education is adapted to their individual needs. With innovative activating working methods, differentiation and evaluation techniques via IT resources, we want to ensure that students are more motivated and achieve better learning results. In addition, we want to use the newly acquired methods to stimulate the general IT skills of the students and create opportunities in which all students excel. Objectives for school staff: The school wants to provide every staff member with support to tailor education to individual students. With the acquired knowledge, we want to provide concrete IT skills to work in a powerful environment in which they can give lessons and help organize the school in a differentiated manner, according to the different options with numerous new IT applications. By taking examples from other schools, we can more easily convince colleagues who are less ICT-minded to also work digitally. This is evident, among other things, from the increasing number of participants in internal further training courses.
After a survey among the teaching staff, it appears that external further training does not provide sufficient practical tools and good practices for the use of this digitalization and IT as a natural tool. Similar problems arise during evaluation moments of the management council and parent council. Among the students, we notice the need for more individual differentiation to entice them. The use of IT resources can therefore be a powerful methodology. Some colleagues are trying this reed but wish for better support and concrete examples to implement. There is a need to tailor our education to each student, including a specific approach for students with additional needs from powerful social environments, strong students who need to be differentiated upwards from students with few computer skills. To give this concrete shape, our school is looking for innovative active working methods and methods with this project differentiation techniques that men can apply through IT resources. Experienced European schools that are further ahead than us in that area can help us to teach something. This internationalization contributes to our vision of intercultural engagement of European citizenship.
