Background

The Tandem is a child center for children aged 0 to 12 years, located in a large, green domain in Sint-Kruis, Bruges. We are a place where education, upbringing, development, care and relaxation flow into one another. There are 300 children and 36 staff members. The operation starts from the vision of Freinet, Malaguzzi, Gordon and Pikler. With our project "the future classroom outdoor" we want to roll out a curriculum for OUTDOOR EDUCATION and DIGITAL LEARNING throughout our child center. Our project explained using the accents of the future classroom: Develop: We want to refine skills of OUTDOOR TEACHING. Exchange: We want to strengthen DIGITAL LEARNING but guard the QUALITY. Create: We teach our children to think out of the box and want to provide additional digital tools. We want to visit schools and child centers that reflect each child's growth through a DIGITAL PORTFOLIO.
