The intention to promote further professionalisation of teachers. This by starting to apply "good practices" from the previous project in an active internship. This is what we wanted to achieve by implementing the project: - Stimulate European thinking. Teaching in Italy brings you knowledge of other education systems, teaching techniques, how teachers encourage student engagement and learning pleasure. - Develop social and cultural skills more strongly. Working together with people from other ethnic, social and cultural backgrounds. We have done this besides school by meeting with local business leaders, youth and adult fraternisation. - Innovative working is a must in education. The globalisation of society also makes teaching go beyond our own classroom, our own school, our own country. - This new cooperation technique implies that closer contacts will be established between different schools in different countries. In this way, further internationalisation will be promoted. - Language skills: Language is becoming increasingly important in our society. Multilingualism is one of the transversal cornerstones of the European project.
The reason we requested this file was that we were going to apply the techniques learned in a previous file ourselves. Our previous Erasmus project "Fraternisation: Schooling in Italy!" was a job shadowing in Cesenatico and this was mainly an observation of the teaching event, an introduction to the Italian education system and a stirring up of our European feeling. By actively participating ourselves, our European feeling was further stimulated. Show who you are and what you stand for, and your students will do the same much faster. This was also a motivation for our students to sign up for Erasmus internships as well.
