We wanted to increase the quality of our childcare training. We were going to do this by sending our interns , together with teachers from our school on job shadowing to other day care centers. In this way we increase both the quality of our teaching and the quality of our internships. That way we are also more aligned. The theory that the students see in the lessons is put into practice at the placement sites and supported by the staff at the placement sites. On site used observation lists (memeq) prepared by agency grow up. These lists were known to all participants. Using good observation lists also ensured the quality of the observations. Clearly, the focus of the observations had also been considered beforehand. This focus was on: - Well-being and involvement of the children - Language stimulation - Environment (games, materials and activities)
To improve the quality of day care centers (our traineeships for our students). This also improves the quality of our training. In addition, we would make theoretical training more in line with the practice at the internships. In addition, the internships and the school could network and thus coordinate the cooperation better. We could also take "good practice" from the other nurseries. The media has shown in recent months that this is of great importance in the childcare sector. It is a sector where the need and demand for further training is great. Because they do not fall under "education" (at least day nurseries and after-school care), they are less familiar with European projects. But all settings agreed that these projects are welcome in the sector.
