New innovative curricula/educational methods/development of training coursesCreativity and cultureICT - new technologies - digital competences

Objectives

We wanted above all to consult experts, both by attending refresher courses and by experiencing on the floor which practices from other CVOs in a metropolitan context are transferable to our Brussels school. The aim was to find out more about new digital tools in the classroom, both in terms of learning platforms, digital didactic methods, working with and designing digital material yourself, use of apps, flipped learning and so on.

Background

The teachers at CVO Lethas, working in NT2, modern foreign languages (French and English) and in second-chance education, were able to make suggestions for trainings and job shadowing that would add value to their teaching practice. They did so by listing concrete needs for which they did not find a solution in the national school curriculum, by taking a broader interest in the school curriculum, by the experiences of colleagues who had already had a taste of international mobility, or by their own positive experiences. Their concrete needs were situated in emerging trends in education: digital tools (including the proper use of one's own learning platform) and flipped learning. Recent evolutions within our target audience also urged them to know more about conflict management and cooperative learning.
