We wanted to give our students the possibility to broaden their mind when it comes to their profession/degree and the world. Living in Belgium they are used to our Belgian standards. By going abroad they can focus on differences and similarities and can decide what works or what could be better when performing their job in the future. By interacting with people from a different cultural background they have the opportunity to look at the world from a different point of view as well. These different perspectives teach them how they can adapt to life in different situations and how they can make conscious life choices in the future, whether minor or major.
Our school Viso has different professional degrees our students can obtain. We are mainly focussing on the social sector and professions relating to care (child care, elderly care ...) . By applying for a VET mobility we are able to give our students the possibility to practise and ameliorate their professional skills they learn in school abroad. They perfect what they already know and can focus on adapting new and promising techniques different countries have to offer.
