We had sustained focus for all interested TSO and BSO educations on the following key competences with the main objectives being: 1 learning competences: technical knowledge, practice and improve competences and skills; 2 communication in foreign languages; 3 cultural awareness and expression of the host country; 4 acquire and maintain professional connections; 5 develop respect for other ways of production; 6 grow in independence and 7 digital competences.
For several years now, our school has explored and broadened a solid and highly documented internationalisation mission which is deeply embedded in our school culture. The mission statement of our school “learning, working and living together” logically leads to the idea of internationalization as learning and working together are clearly not limited to school and country boundaries. An international traineeship has a double goal: - to improve the attractivity of the forms we offer in school; - to offer an added value for the personal development of the trainee. For this reason, we want to expand the number of EU- and not EU-countries for students who want to go abroad. This way, we can exchange the acquired knowledge and experiences of multiple groups and destinations. It is an added value for students to further develop as young adults by gaining competencies abroad for at least 2 weeks. Many do not often get the opportunity from home to travel abroad. In addition, it is also a very enriching experience to be at work in another culture.
