We wanted to bring youngsters into contact with the theme of human rights in an original way. We wanted to use the domain of de Hoge Rielen as an outdoor setting for our project in which we used art in different ways to think about human rights. Through activities with a low threshold we wanted to introduce the theme and make the participants aware of this importance. By bringing together youngsters from Belgium, Slovenia and Romania, we wanted to stimulate intercultural learning and create respect for others and cultures they might not know so well. Our goals were: 1. Building and developing skills of solidarity. 2. Strengthening empathy towards social inclusion, tolerance and acceptance of diversity, and emphasize the importance of these values. 3. Being more accepting of cultural differences 4. Being more familiar with the theme of human rights 5. Stimulate the concious and active practice of human rights concepts 6. Enhancing self-reflection
