The overall aim of the project was to foster the Global Citizenship Education (GCE) dimension of AFS activities, through enhancing trainer competences of trainers and staff. The project had five specific objectives: To develop a common understanding of Global Citizenship Education in the AFS context and to increase commitment to promote it in exchange activities To increase trainer competences to design training activities from preparation to follow-up To develop and practise hands-on trainer skills To plan concrete steps to multiply and incorporate TfT results into national and European training practices To integrate training participants into the international network of EFIL/AFS qualified trainers, committed to continuous learning and mutual support These objectives, building one on another, concerned the participants as individuals, each of their sending organisations, as well as the European AFS network (EFIL) overall.
