[To-get-there] is written by youngsters who participated in a Youth Exchange project called [A] Game Changer. A Youth Exchange focused on digital addiction, but where youngsters discovered that feeling lonely or not able to connect, was an even a bigger subject or sometimes reason for the social media use or gaming. They didn't want the project, the experiences, the challenges or the connection(s) to end [or fade out after a while]. They want to give even more youngsters the opportunity to deepen the subject of loneliness, to understand it, to explore themselves and others. They want to give youngsters the same chance as they got thanks to Erasmus +: get to know themselves better and (continue to) challenge themselves in every aspect of live. And as said in the previous project: we, nor our partners are care institutions, we will not focus on healing, therapy or 'the' solution. By organising this Youth Exchange we want to draw attention to the subject of loneliness, make youngsters think about the subject and invite them to share their stories and struggles and be aware of it within others. By offering different outdoor activities and use experiential learning as a catalysator to self-knowledge, we hope that youngsters find their own coping-mechanism. This informal learning method of experiential learning has the main objectives of giving the participant the opportunity: - To explore the feeling of loneliness - To get to know themselves better through group- and self reflections - To challenge themselves more, because of the experiences they had on the YE - To feel real connection [again] - To have a more active participation in European Society These objectives will go hand in hand with secondary objectives, which are the practice and improvement of language skills, social skills, cooperation and leadership. These objectives are based on the experience with, and thereby the expectations towards the outcomes of, the methods which will be used during this project.
