Objectives

Using the Lifelong Learning principle, the teaching staff and management of our school wanted improvement in key areas such as innovative educational methods, ICT-digital competences and international development cooperation. To fulfill this intention, we committed to training in international structured courses to develop the pedagogical and management competencies of 1 director, 1 pedagogical advisor and 3 teachers. We achieved this main for us goal by introducing into the curriculum and applying creative methods, innovative solutions and new learning strategies to improve learning in the classroom, including prevention of isolation and destructive behavior of students with special needs. We put a lot of effort into activities on safe use of social media, working with audiovisual materials in a way that motivates students. With particular diligence and inspiration, we met the challenges of modern leadership, namely - improving leadership skills for working in an international environment and team and integrating new approaches in pedagogical work through direct interaction with methods, practices and policies from the European education system.

Background

The world we live in is becoming more and more dynamic and demanding. The challenge to formulate the right answers related to the quality of education, to look for the right paths on which to prepare capable, knowledgeable, creative and enterprising young people is becoming more and more relevant. Current changes in modern society require an adequate modernization of the educational system in order to meet the needs of society and the state for the training of professionals of the new generation. A clear awareness of these trends was a major motivator for applying with this project. Our school appreciates the opportunities provided by the Erasmus+ Program through the Lifelong Learning approach, namely – an excellent opportunity to keep up with modern educational opportunities. The pursuit of professional growth through the accumulation of new knowledge and skills, maintaining passion for the learning process (there is passion where there is interest), expanding professional contacts and gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures are a small part of the benefits we were looking for and we achieved.
