Background

Participation in structured courses within “Teachers – creators, innovators, mediators and inspirers” mobility project corresponded to the necessity of developing key competences and providing our students with competence-based education, as well as to teachers’ needs of introducing innovative forms of teaching and learning and getting deeper knowledge about the contemporary tendencies in European education in reputable educational institutions and among colleagues, with whom they tried to find solutions to common problems. As а part of the project, we created an European School Development Plan. We have based our future vision on the development of key competencies and the provision of competency-oriented education. We planned to achieve this by improving the qualification of teachers, updating the methods and tools for assessment and introducing innovative forms of teaching and learning. We wanted to achieve this by participating in mobility and carrying out mobilities at European level. We recognized that we need additional qualification for teachers, support and motivation and a deeper understanding of current trends in European education; expanding the number and scope of innovations; better interaction between teachers to share good practices; more effective planning of interdisciplinary projects and other activities based on the application of the competence approach and developing transversal skills of students.
