ICT - new technologies - digital competences

Objectives

Through the implementation of the project, we aimed to increase the qualifications of teachers regarding the use of ICT and the introduction of innovative teaching methods and techniques into the curriculum. Our aspiration was to modernize and adapt the curricula in the direction of innovation and effectiveness of pedagogical practices and the educational process to stimulate the interest and commitment of our students to the learning material. Other main tasks were: increasing the language competences of the staff, increasing the management's skills in terms of innovative school policy management; establishing and expanding contacts with colleagues and partners from Europe.

Background

The challenges of the new era place new demands on our teachers - to digitally evaluate the progress of their students, to integrate new digital technologies into learning, to place the student at the center of the educational process with a methodology that includes digitalization of the learning process. The traditional method of learning is getting old and can no longer provide optimal knowledge for modern society. Our teachers have a long teaching experience, but they felt insecure about applying innovative methods in education. In order to meet the needs of our graduates, it was necessary to train our staff on how to make the most effective use of the opportunities that new technologies provide and how to apply successful methodologies to improve the educational process and therefore increase the interest and motivation of students. Our participation in European mobility was an effective way to gain new knowledge and experience, as well as to exchange good and adapted practices, programs and methodologies.
