18 Comprehensive school "William Gladstone" embraces the vision that the school can be an active, engaged and supportive learning community that helps inspire young people to become participants in a peaceful and sustainable world, and that provides them with all the resources they need to do so. One of the aims was that the project would lead to the acquisition of appropriate and high quality skills and competencies for effective teaching through emotional and social awareness and intelligence, to maintain a positive relationship with students' emotional responses. On the other hand, the implementation of programs involving social and emotional learning was expected to significantly improve students' social and emotional skills as well as academic achievement. Another goal was the acquisition of appropriate social and emotional competencies by students with challenging behaviors, which would lead to improvements in attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, and reductions in impulsivity, aggression, and oppositional behaviors. Teaching emotional skills to students and teachers was expected to create a more stable and productive environment that promotes positive social interaction.
Recognizing the role of chronic stress in the lives of educators and their students, 18 Comprehensive school "William Gladstone" focuses first on the adults (teachers, administrators, parents) in the lives of children, and then on the children themselves. 18 Comprehensive school "William Gladstone" has long been aware of the fact that Social and Emotional Literacy and Mindfulness (SEML) credential programs have the potential to reconnect educators with their calling in a variety of ways. At their core, SEML qualification programmes provide the tools teachers, parents and students need to balance their inner and outer peace. Underlying the field of development of this type of training is the emerging recognition that the components of social emotional learning, when integrated with contemplative learning experiences, are exceptionally beneficial in establishing a positive climate. Pointing to the above as the primary reason 18 Comprehensive school "William Gladstone" developed this school staff mobility project, aiming at establishing a positive school culture at the institutional and community level.
