The strategic goals of the Vocational School of Textile and Fashion Design - Varna, in accordance with which we organised this project are: achieving higher quality and reaching the European level of education of the students at Vocational School of Textile and Fashion Design - Varna and internationalization of education by introducing European models, methods of work, approaches and ideas for improving the way, type, content and learning environment, which is a condition for easy transition from school to the workplace. With the implementation of this project, the students had the opportunity to compare their knowledge and skills, both with those of the students at Private Vocational Technical School "Miriam" and to harmonise their achievements professionally with the requirements of employers. Through this project, we aimed to improve the link between the outcome of vocational education and training and the needs of the changing labour market, to facilitate communication between employers, training organizations and job applicants, and ultimately facilitate the transition from school to the labour market through placing them in a responsible position in mastering the knowledge and skills to practise the chosen profession.
Vocational School of Textile and Fashion Design – city of Varna (PGTMD), applied with a project under the Erasmus + Programme, as the Programme provides an opportunity for students to expand their knowledge and skills in the profession they study by practical training in a real work environment. To work on such a project creates conditions for the students along with their professional skills to improve their language skills, adaptability to work in a foreign language environment and their communication skills in an intercultural environment and teamwork. Without co-financing under the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union, only a few of our students would be able to achieve this on their own. Transnational mobility is one of the main ways in which learners boost their future employability, achieve competitiveness in the national and European labour market.
