Objectives

The objective of this project was to expand the knowledge and competences of the participants for the use of ICT in the learning process in the context of the digital economy and in particular in the field of management, trade, finance and accounting. Practice in a real business environment is one of the steps to improve the quality of the learning process. The aim is to update four of the specialties taught at the high school - "Economics and Management", "Business Administration", "E-commerce" and "Wholesale and Retail" on the basis of the accumulated experience, knowledge and good practices. The expectation was that the project would help meet these needs, as well as build added value by creating contacts for joint work, implementing future projects and strengthening international cooperation. New social experience, improvement of linguistic competences, work habits and soft skills, familiarization with the traditions in practical training of other countries are among the expected benefits. In addition, direct contact with the Portuguese employer during the mobility would allow accompanying teachers to update their knowledge in line with current trends and practices in the sector.

Background

The Digital Single Market, access to innovation, the link between education and the labour market are at the heart of technological developments in modern European society. Digital transformation has great potential to create jobs and increase the productivity and competitiveness of businesses in the EU. This project fully corresponds to the European Commission's ambition for a Digital Single Market and aims to complement and upgrade the knowledge, skills and competences of users in the field of digital economy in the context of European practices. Currently, there is a discrepancy between the available resource security of the school and the curricula we are working on, with the real qualities, knowledge and skills needed for the business. This discrepancy is even more pronounced in the extremely dynamic digital economy. In order to prevent the discrepancy between the acquired qualification and the possibility of realization of the graduates, it is necessary to improve various aspects of the school's activities. Thanks to this mobility, new modern and competitive programs will be offered at the school, which will contribute to achieving high quality of learning.
