Through the implementation of this mobility, PGET “G.S. Rakovski”, Stara Zagora aims to increase the key professional knowledge and skills of students studying in the specialties "Mechatronics", "Electrical Power Engineering" and "Electrical Equipment of Production". The project also aims to support and encourage students in building work habits and developing essential soft skills. These key competencies, as well as the acquisition of practical experience in an international environment, aim to improve the competitiveness of young professionals and ensure their successful realization in the labour market.
The dynamically evolving work environment and the ever-increasing demands on professionals in the fields of mechatronics, electrical, electronics, and еlectro-mechanics require young professionals to continuously update their knowledge and to be familiar with the new developments in the field. It was identified that the students from PGET have the need to further develop and improve their competencies and practical skills which will later help them meet the requirements of the labour market and successfully realize themselves as professionals. Currently, the technical facilities of PGET Stara Zagora do not yet have all the equipment that is necessary to provide the implementation of some of the practical activities in the mechatronics area included in the curriculum. As a result, students have theoretical knowledge and they still need to acquire better practical training. The MechTech project was initiated precisely to address these needs of the students and to satisfy their need for increased practical skills, experience, and work habits.
