Objectives

The objectives of our action plan were the following: All adults: -To have the opportunity to engage in creative ways of learning. -To have the opportunity to develop professionally in the areas of their interests and specialties. -To engage in a process of disseminating ideas and knowledge that they will gain from their participation in European seminars. All the students: -To feel that they are loved and important members of the school community. -To understand that the school community cares about their needs, talents, and interests. - To have opportunities to participate in actions and courses that respect and strengthen their talents and interests. In a school unit like ours, with a large number of teachers, there is a variety of specialties and techniques that teachers need to develop and give prominence. The European development plan strengthened the strategic plan of our school in the short and long term. It contributed to the improvement of the students, the professional support of the participants, and the European dimension of the quality of the organization. The implementation of creative activities was strengthened resulting in the effective utilization of the learning time.

Background

Our school made this application to support its Creative Employment and utilization of learning time action plan. This is consistent with the European development programs that aim at the all-round development of the student and at providing equal opportunities to all students. It is an organization with diversity in human resource needs and abilities and benefited from this plan which is in line with the objectives of the European Union for inclusion, providing equal opportunities, opportunities for non-formal education activities, and introducing technologies in education. With the opportunity and the funding given to the participation of the teaching staff in this European program, our school connected its general purpose with the modern ideas and practices of the European dimension and with the changes in educational trends worldwide. The aim was for the students to find interest and joy in learning so that they can make the most of their abilities and talents. All teachers had the opportunity to develop in the areas of their interest and become more effective and consistent with their goals and practices.
