Objectives

After exploring the needs of our staff, the objectives of this project were divided as follow: Regarding the ICT-new technologies and digital competence the objective was to embrace the use of STEM and the use of digital tools that would strengthen the educational experience for both teachers and students. Furthermore, we wanted to enhance Digital Skills for Learning. To equip learners with digital competences that support their educational journey, including accessing online resources, virtual classrooms, and digital learning tools. As for the analytical programs we wanted to be able to evaluate our curriculums using scientific tools and learn how modern innovate curriculums impact the educational system and the results that students have in global assessments such as PISA and International Olympiads. Finally, we wanted to learn new pedagogical methodologies to improve teaching effectiveness and address the diversion of learner needs.

Background

Our school apply to this project to give the teachers the opportunity to extend their knowledge in certain areas. By creating opportunities for the teachers to have continuous and lifelong learning education, it helps to maintain a good standard and possibly improve it. Also the students and the community benefit from the experiences the teachers gain by participating to Erasmus+ projects. It was our strong belief that while we were going to fund only a handful of teachers to participate those teachers will act as multipliers of knowledge. Also by learning from diverse educational systems and approaches, staff members can bring back fresh ideas and methodologies that can improve the overall quality of teaching and learning at the school. Finally participating in an Erasmus+ project can boost the motivation and morale of school staff. The opportunity to travel and engage in unique learning experiences can re-energize educators and reignite their passion for teaching.
