The objectives of this project were the following: 1. To get to know how hospital schools abroad work, in order to improve the way our school works. 2. Long term, to collect information and share it with the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth for the development of a curriculum which will be applied to a hospital school. 3. To enrich our methods, so that the lesson will be held in the most pleasant way, yet be effective under the special circumstances of our school. 4. To create a pool of activities, from which we can take the most suitable ones every time.
Through studies done by personal interest of teacher of our school we have noticed that some hospital schools in other European countries have their own curricula, which are based on the general curriculum of each country with certain differentiations, because of the special situation of the learning environment in hospitals. In our school any differentiations are up to the teachers themselves. It is though important for a common policy to be developed and it would be necessary to get advice from other countries' example, experiencing in practice the application of their curriculum. We, therefore, wanted to develop contacts with hospital schools of the European family for exchanging ideas and good practices.
