Objectives

We had set specific goals in order to improve our students in various aspects. Very important challenges we had confronted were the following: 1. Delinquent behavior: One of our main goals was to minimize student’s bad behavior and improve discipline at school (by adopting effective procedures) 2. Skills and working experience: One of our main goals was to improve our student’s knowledge, skills and working experience 3. Introduction of new technology: We implemented new technology school teaching and management procedures 4. Teaching staff professional integration through further education, training and life long learning. 5. Changing our school environment by developing European ID and culture. 6. Improvement of students' self esteemed and self confidence: We encouraged our students to interact in other vocational environments in order to build a strong personality. The involvement of teachers and students in European programs enriched the school capacity in terms of knowledge, skills and experience. The participation of students in such a project improved not only their school achievement but also their social behavior in the school. The interaction between students and teachers reinforced the social environment of school. Moreover, the acquired experiences were shared with the beneficiaries’ classmates and enriched the community during their work and social activities. The participation of the accompanying teachers contributed to great satisfaction of the European perspective at a national level, since the involvement in European programs is a national educational policy. Such programs carry a dual benefit - the accumulation of valuable experiences as well as the diffusion of our culture, and tradition outside our county. The placements allowed our students to discover new products and methods of work, experiment with new technologies and innovative ideas and operate within a demanding, competitive and differentiated environment. The involvement of teachers in European programs also enriched the school capacity in terms of knowledge, skills and experience. Moreover, the acquired experiences can be shared with the colleges back to school and can be transferred and enrich the community during their work and social activities. The program also contributed to the promotion of the European perspective across Europe. More specifically it spread the culture, knowledge and skills reciprocally among the collaborating partners. Such programs may transfer values, attitudes and establish collaboration, friendship and understanding among people and reduce the discrepancies of origin, religion and promote the culture of European citizenship. Finally, the student's participation in the program improved their self esteemed, self confidence and contributed towards the suspension of prejudice among students of different cultures and educational backgrounds. The project allowed our students to visit a European country and meet people of their age with the same interests and work background.
